Tri-County Mennonite Homes has selected LGI Workforce Pro to manage scheduling and payroll for more than 500 employees as the organization prepares for a $55 million expansion that will create over 100 new jobs.
The long-term care provider, which operates three facilities in Ontario, chose the cloud-based platform to replace current systems that can no longer handle the organization’s growing demands. The timing coincides with a major redevelopment project at the Nithview Community campus, where a new six-storey, 160-bed facility is planned for completion in 2027.
“As we continue to expand our services and grow our team — including the Nithview Community redevelopment — it’s essential that we have the right systems in place,” said Steven Harrison, CEO of Tri-County Mennonite Homes. “The LGI Workforce Pro platform gives us the flexibility and efficiency we need to scale our human capital operations, ensuring that both our staff and residents benefit from improved support and care outcomes.”
Centralized platform addresses operational challenges
The LGI Workforce Pro system will centralize HR functions, scheduling, time and attendance tracking, and payroll processing across TCMH’s three divisions: Aldaview Services, Nithview Community, and Greenwood Court. The integrated approach aims to eliminate redundancies and provide administrators with better visibility into staffing across the care network.
Montreal-based LGI Healthcare Solutions, which has operated in Canada for over 40 years, also serves healthcare facilities internationally. The company positions itself as a provider of software solutions for critical healthcare infrastructure.
“We’re excited to partner with Tri-County Mennonite Homes on their journey towards operational scalability,” said Michel Desgagné, President and CEO of LGI Healthcare Solutions. “The LGI Workforce Pro solution will provide them with a unified platform, helping them eliminate inefficiencies and foster a more cohesive, streamlined management system.”
Major expansion project underway
The Nithview Community expansion represents a significant investment in long-term care capacity for Wilmot Township. The $55 million project will more than double the site’s current capacity and create employment opportunities in a sector facing ongoing staffing challenges.
TCMH has operated in the region for more than 50 years, providing services ranging from independent housing to assisted living and long-term care. The organization also runs programs for adults with developmental disabilities, including supported independent living and group homes, across locations in New Hamburg and Stratford.
The workforce management system implementation comes as healthcare facilities across Canada grapple with administrative complexity and staffing pressures. Long-term care homes in particular have faced increased scrutiny over operational efficiency and quality of care delivery.
The new facility at Nithview Community will add 160 beds to the organization’s capacity, addressing growing demand for long-term care services in the region. Construction timelines target completion by 2027, with the new positions expected to be filled as the facility becomes operational.
