ADP, Inc., a global technology company specializing in human capital management (HCM) solutions, celebrated its 75th anniversary on June 10, 2024, by ringing the NASDAQ MarketSite Opening Bell.

From its beginnings in 1949, serving a single client in New Jersey, ADP has grown to support over one million clients worldwide. The company has consistently focused on innovation in the workforce management sector.

Maria Black, president and CEO of ADP, expressed pride in the company’s achievements.

“We are proud to celebrate 75 years at the forefront of workforce innovation, and we share this achievement with our talented associates and our valued clients who have trusted us to help them achieve their goals,” Black said. “This milestone validates our deep commitment to innovation and to keeping our clients and their employees at the center of our work, and we will continue to help them thrive as the needs of businesses evolve.”

ADP is well known for various technological advancements within the HCM industry. The company said it was the first to deliver payroll outsourcing, automation, cloud-based HCM services, a mobile HCM app, and an online HCM app marketplace. Currently, ADP is pushing boundaries with its generative AI solutions.

Earlier this year, ADP launched ADP Assist, a generative AI-powered technology designed to enhance HR productivity. This cross-platform solution provides data-driven insights to aid decision-making and simplifies daily tasks through natural language conversations. ADP’s extensive HCM dataset is instrumental in training these AI tools, enabling them to anticipate client needs and deliver user-friendly solutions.

In its ongoing commitment to understanding and addressing global workforce trends, ADP Research Institute recently analyzed the perspectives of 35,000 private-sector workers across 18 countries. The study examines how workers view AI and its future role in the workplace.
