BendPak Inc. has expanded its line of ergonomic work seats with three new models, aimed at enhancing worker comfort and reducing strain in various industries, including automotive, aviation, and manufacturing. The additions, announced on October 17, 2024, include the ERGO-JET, ERGO-SCOOT, and ERGO-GLIDE, which join the company’s original ERGO-RS in the Ergochair™ line.
The adjustable seats are designed to improve worker efficiency by providing ergonomic support during physically demanding tasks, such as working under vehicles or on assembly lines. “Proper ergonomics increase efficiency and reduce fatigue, delivering better results at work and a better quality of life at the end of the day,” said Sean Price, BendPak’s director of sales operations.
The flagship ERGO-RS, a creeper and work seat hybrid, offers a 75-degree range of adjustment with six locking positions, allowing workers to shift between a flat creeper position and a fully upright seat. Its adjustable backrest and height are synchronized, ensuring a comfortable position for a range of tasks. It also features four swivel caster wheels for mobility and stability.
The ERGO-JET, one of the new models, functions as an adjustable workstation with horizontal and vertical arm adjustments. It allows workers to fine-tune seating height using adjustable air springs, and includes a built-in tray for tool storage.
Meanwhile, the ERGO-GLIDE offers a durable creeper seat with a gas spring-supported backrest that adjusts from 0 to 70 degrees, enabling workers to select their ideal recline angle. The seat can be adjusted incrementally, with a maximum angle of 30 degrees.
The low-profile ERGO-SCOOT provides a similar level of adjustability, featuring a gas spring system that adjusts the seat’s back position from 5 to 60 degrees. It also comes with an optional Spacer Kit to increase ground clearance.
