Avature, a provider of Human Capital Management (HCM) software, has announced the launch of the Avature Chatbot, a new feature designed to enhance user experiences throughout the talent lifecycle.

The Avature Chatbot utilizes AI-enabled semantic technology developed in-house, moving beyond traditional chatbots that rely on predefined workflows and keyword matching. This new chatbot engages users in natural conversations, providing a more human-like interaction.

The initial version of the chatbot aims to improve the job search experience for visitors to career sites by offering immediate responses to frequently asked questions and smart job recommendations in multiple languages. This feature addresses customer feedback highlighting the need for better candidate experiences, the company said in a press release.

Rabih Zbib, Machine Learning Director at Avature, emphasized the significance of integrating conversational AI technology deeply into the platform.

“To provide the best experience for the user, the Chatbot has to be deeply integrated into the rest of the platform, which is why we have built it ourselves,” Zbib said.

Unlike third-party chatbots that require complex integrations, the Avature Chatbot can be easily enabled, leveraging existing data within the recruiting systems, it said. This platform-native approach allows for seamless activation and enhanced functionality.

Future developments for the Avature Chatbot include expanding its capabilities to assist hiring managers, employees, and other platform users. The chatbot will serve as a comprehensive virtual assistant, aiding in tasks such as interview scheduling, screening requirements, handling hiring manager queries, extending offer letters, and managing new-hire onboarding.

Dimitri Boylan, CEO of Avature, highlighted the strategic importance of this development.

“Modern businesses must learn to see past the AI hype and take advantage of its potential. We support our customers in this strategic imperative by developing game-changing AI features that deliver tangible value and enhance the recruiting and talent management process,” Boylan stated.

The Avature Chatbot aims to improve candidate experience on career sites and increase conversion rates, ultimately helping organizations hire qualified talent more efficiently.

Avature is committed to advancing its AI infrastructure, ensuring that the chatbot will be available across all its solutions, from Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to Learning and Performance Management. This comprehensive approach seeks to make the recruitment and talent management journey more intuitive and rewarding for all involved parties.
