Becklar Workforce Safety has introduced a new feature leveraging Apple’s Live Activities technology to enhance real-time monitoring and emergency response for workers. The integration allows critical safety information to be displayed directly on the lock screens of Apple devices, enabling quick access to alerts, check-ins, and SOS requests.

The feature, available on supported Apple devices through the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, offers real-time updates to workers and organizations, improving safety in industries such as healthcare, utilities, and manufacturing. Spencer Moore, senior vice-president of business development at Becklar Workforce Safety, said the capability enhances visibility and control for employers while keeping safety information accessible to workers.

“By leveraging Apple’s Live Activities, we’re empowering organizations with a new level of visibility and control. This capability ensures that critical safety information is always within reach, helping to prevent incidents and respond faster when emergencies arise,” said Moore.

Key features include real-time safety updates, enhanced emergency support through integration with company security teams or Becklar’s monitoring platform, and seamless accessibility for workers. The system allows users to interact with safety tools without needing to open an app, ensuring minimal disruption to workflows.

The Live Activities integration aims to boost employee adoption of safety measures by providing an intuitive and accessible interface, Becklar said. The company noted that the technology could help organizations improve compliance, reduce downtime, and enhance worker safety.

The feature is now available to Becklar Workforce Safety customers.
