Bombardier has appointed Caroline Maso as its new chief human resources officer (CHRO), effective early next year. Maso will join the company’s senior leadership team and report directly to president and CEO Éric Martel, the company said Monday.

In her new role, Maso will oversee Bombardier’s global human resources strategy with a focus on employee engagement, talent acquisition, and fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.

“Her long list of credentials and proven leadership track record will play an important role in taking our people strategy to the next level,” Martel said in a statement.

Maso brings nearly 25 years of experience to the position, much of it within the aerospace industry. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Canada, Romania, Algeria, Latin America, and corporate functions at AtkinsRéalis. She has also held leadership roles at Pratt & Whitney and Suncor Energy.

Dan Brennan, Bombardier’s current CHRO, will retire in June 2025. Until then, he will assist with Maso’s transition and serve as a special advisor to the CEO. Brennan joined Bombardier in 2017 during a period of financial and operational restructuring for the company.

“Dan has made invaluable contributions to our Senior Leadership Team,” Martel said, adding that Brennan’s work on employee engagement and talent strategies will leave a lasting impact on Bombardier’s operations.

Bombardier, headquartered in Montreal, designs, builds, and services business aircraft globally. The company employs thousands of workers across multiple countries and recently received the Red Dot “Best of the Best” award for its communication design.
