Cangrade has announced it has obtained patents for two new technologies aimed at enhancing hiring efficiency and fostering employee growth. The company’s latest innovations target HR challenges through data-driven solutions that match employees to roles and recommend personalized learning content.

The first patent, covering Cangrade’s learning recommendation engine, offers HR leaders a tool designed to identify and prioritize employee development needs based on job-relevant skills. This engine uses Cangrade’s Pre-Hire Assessment to pinpoint soft skill areas where employees can improve, and subsequently recommends specific learning resources. The aim is to improve upskilling and engagement, ultimately enhancing retention rates and delivering a stronger return on hiring investments.

A second patent focuses on candidate matching technology, which allows HR departments to re-evaluate previous candidates and current employees for new roles without needing repeated assessments. By leveraging Cangrade’s multi-way scoring system, employers can maintain a talent pool of individuals ready for job mobility within the organization. The technology, Cangrade stated, is particularly useful for attracting and retaining Gen Z employees who prioritize career growth opportunities.

Gershon Goren, founder and CEO of Cangrade, emphasized the relevance of these technologies in today’s workforce landscape. “Placing people in roles in which they have the soft skills to succeed and offering them targeted upskilling in areas for improvement is imperative for organizations’ ability to thrive,” he said.

These technologies are part of Cangrade’s Talent Intelligence platform, which includes a suite of AI-driven tools for talent assessment and management. The platform promises bias-free solutions that connect hiring and development efforts with broader business goals, potentially increasing sales and reducing turnover, according to the company.

Cangrade’s technology is currently utilized by organizations such as Wayfair, the FDNY, Lamar Advertising, and Applied Industrial Technologies, reportedly assisting in the evaluation of over 10 million candidates to date.
