Rippling, a workforce management platform, has announced the launch of its new Performance Management system. This addition aims to streamline global performance reviews, compensation processes, and employee development, allowing HR professionals to focus more on managing performance rather than administrative tasks.

According to Rippling, the Performance Management system offers features such as 360º feedback, confidential rating calibrations, and compensation processes, including bonus payments. It also supports ongoing performance management with milestone reviews and goal setting, with 1:1 meetings to be added soon.

“For HR leaders, unlocking employee talent is a top priority. But too often, they’re forced to design the performance management process around rigid, disconnected systems, rather than around the culture and the business’s needs,” said Darcy Mackay, Rippling’s SVP of HR and Client Services. “We want companies to stop managing spreadsheets and spend more time developing their people. Our Performance Management solution does just that.”

The new system is designed to integrate seamlessly with other Rippling applications, such as Recruiting and Payroll. This integration ensures that performance reviews are based on the most current employee data and can be tailored to individual employee lifecycles.

Laura Downey, HR Manager at LightForce, highlighted the benefits of the new system: “By removing the worry and arduousness of traditional review cycles, Rippling has helped us turn our performance management process into a strategic asset. We’re able to easily run an equitable, thorough, ongoing performance process for our team members and we’re already seeing the impact on our business.”

Rippling’s Performance Management addresses common challenges faced by HR professionals:

Aligning Employee Performance with Business Goals: Managers can create and cascade goals, while employees can regularly review their objectives using the system. The integration with Rippling’s Employee Graph allows business leaders to report on goal outcomes alongside other organizational data.

Launching Review Cycles: The system simplifies the setup of review cycles by utilizing existing company data on roles and reporting structures. Customizable features include 360º reviews with specific rules for peer and manager feedback.

Managing Calibrations: The system ensures consistent and fair reviews by handling permissions automatically, allowing appropriate managers and HR partners to calibrate ratings without the risk of data breaches.

Streamlining Compensation & Rewards: Rippling offers customizable merit matrices and a real-time view of the rewards budget, enabling error-free compensation decisions that integrate directly with payroll.

Rippling’s unified platform aims to resolve the fragmentation caused by multiple disconnected HR systems. By consolidating various workforce management functions, Rippling provides a single, secure source for managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

Rippling, headquartered in San Francisco, has raised $1.4 billion from prominent investors, including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, and Bedrock.
