Health services provider Kii Health has expanded its digital platform with self-guided mental health programs based on cognitive behavioural therapy principles, aimed at helping employers provide more accessible care options to their workforce.
The new bilingual offerings, part of the company’s mental health and wellness services, were developed in-house by clinical experts and target common issues including anxiety, depression, sleep problems and stress management.
“We’re committed to making high-quality mental health care accessible in ways that truly meet people where they are—on their terms and at a pace that works for them,” said Dr. Khush Amaria, vice-president of clinical services for mental health at Kii Health.
The self-guided programs are designed to remove barriers to mental health support by allowing employees to access resources whenever and wherever they choose, the company said in its announcement Monday.
Addressing workplace mental health challenges
The expansion comes as workplace mental health concerns continue to rise, with Kii Health citing Gallup research indicating Canadian employees rank among the most stressed globally.
“Now more than ever, access to timely, high-quality care is essential,” said Karen Adams, president and CEO of Kii Health, noting the company’s approach uses nurse navigators to connect individuals with appropriate mental and physical health resources.
Program availability
The self-guided therapy programs are available to clients of Kii Health’s Employee and Family Assistance Program as part of their existing service package, or as standalone options through the company’s care navigation system.
Kii Health, formerly known as CloudMD, provides workplace health solutions across Canada and the United States, including employee assistance programs, disability management and occupational health services.
