Odgers Berndtson unites Canadian, U.S. operations to strengthen leadership services across North America

Odgers Berndtson, an international leadership advisory firm, announced on Thursday a unified go-to-market strategy for its Canadian and U.S. operations. This strategic move aims to bolster the firm’s cross-border leadership services by integrating expertise and resources between the two countries.

The firm’s offerings will continue to include board and executive search, interim management, leadership and team assessments, succession management, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) advisory. The unification is expected to enhance these services with what the firm describes as “deep industry-specific expertise and superior market intelligence” across North America.

Carl Lovas, Chairman and CEO of Odgers Berndtson Canada, emphasized the collaborative nature of the alignment. “This increased collaboration between the Canadian and U.S. teams will foster an environment of mutual growth and learning as we continue to enhance our integrated leadership advisory model,” Lovas said. He added that the firm’s Canadian team brings over three decades of local experience to the table, complemented by the U.S. division’s insights.

Brad Beveridge, President of Odgers Berndtson Canada, underscored the impact of the unified approach on the firm’s market presence. “By uniting our collective strengths, vast experience, deep industry knowledge, and proven best practices, we are laying a strong foundation for continued growth in both Canada and the United States,” Beveridge said. “Together, we have some of the most respected experts in the executive talent industry.”

Kennon Kincaid, CEO of Odgers Berndtson U.S., framed the alignment as a client-centric initiative. “Going to market as a North American firm is another way that we are prioritizing clients, candidates, and colleagues,” Kincaid stated. “We understand the modern leadership challenges our clients are dealing with, and we recognize that by further aligning the U.S. and Canadian businesses we will be poised to offer the best leadership solutions in the market.”

As an initial step, Odgers Berndtson has consolidated its Marketing and Communications teams under a North American structure, now led by Chief Marketing Officer Lori Dyne. This transition, according to the firm, aims to ensure a cohesive brand presence and streamline client experience across both countries.

Odgers Berndtson operates in 32 countries and employs more than 1,100 professionals. The firm provides services ranging from executive search to leadership development, backed by a global network of resources and insights.
