Sage, a provider of accounting, financial, HR, and payroll technology for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs), has announced a series of updates for its Sage Intacct platform.

The enhancements are designed to boost productivity and streamline workflows, offering improved financial insights and operational efficiency.

Dan Miller, Executive Vice President of the Financials and ERP Division at Sage, emphasized the importance of these updates.

“Our goal is to empower organizations to be more efficient in their financial management, enhancing their ability to make informed decisions quickly,” he stated. “This latest release helps organizations strengthen their financial controls and simplify operations, while delivering significant time savings.”

The key updates in Sage Intacct’s Product Release 2 for 2024 include:

  1. PwC Control Insights: Now generally available, this tool aids organizations in maintaining strong financial controls and provides actionable insights. It includes a live dashboard for real-time monitoring and recommendations. Available in the US, Canada, UK, South Africa, and Australia.
  2. Bank Transaction Assistant File Import: This feature simplifies the import process of bank data, improving reconciliation efficiency and reliability of financial data, thereby streamlining the monthly close process. Available in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, France, and South Africa.
  3. AI Timesheets: Sage Intelligent Time (SIT) is an AI-powered solution embedded in Sage Intacct. It helps users accurately track and maximize billable time by suggesting activities for timesheets, improving invoicing and revenue recognition accuracy. Available in the US, Canada, UK, South Africa, and Australia.
  4. Employee Expense Allocations: This feature streamlines the expense reporting process, reducing administrative tasks and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Available in the US only.
  5. Sage Fixed Asset Management – Purchasing Integration: This integration allows users to create assets directly from purchasing transactions, improving asset tracking accuracy and reducing manual data entry. Available in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, France, and South Africa.
  6. Boosted Revenue Management: Enhanced revenue recognition features allow organizations to better understand deferred revenue and expedite reconciliations with smarter search and filter options. Available in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, France, and South Africa.
  7. Construction Enhancements: New updates for construction organizations enable automatic calculation of key metrics related to project revenue and profitability, improving project-based cost and billing reviews. Available in the US, Canada, Australia, and for early adopters in the UK.
  8. Supplies Inventory: This feature streamlines the ordering process, allowing organizations to track supplies and manage inventory levels effectively. Available for early adopters in the US and Canada.

These enhancements are part of Sage’s ongoing effort to provide SMBs with tools to respond to changing consumer preferences, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements, it said.
