Sage unveils new updates to Intacct enhancing productivity for SMBs

Sage, a global company specializing in accounting and business management solutions, has announced significant updates to its Sage Intacct platform, targeting small and mid-sized businesses with enhancements aimed at boosting productivity through artificial intelligence (AI) and improved data management.

Dan Miller, EVP of Sage’s Financials and ERP Division, emphasized the importance of modernization in the current economic landscape. “In today’s challenging business environment, it’s crucial for mid-sized businesses to streamline processes and enhance productivity. Our latest release is designed to support these objectives, offering AI-powered project management and better data integration to help with decision-making and growth,” said Miller.

The updates are a part of Sage’s commitment to innovation and efficiency, highlighted by the introduction of AI-driven project and resource management and advanced data integration tools. Dennis Kayser, CEO of Forecast, a Sage partner, commended the new features: “The introduction of AI-driven project and resource management as well as enhanced data integration tools is a testament to Sage’s commitment to fostering innovation and efficiency.”

Key enhancements include AI-powered Professional Services Automation, providing visibility and optimization in project delivery, and Fixed Assets Management, automating the lifecycle of assets from acquisition to disposal. These updates aim to simplify operations and ensure compliance across various regions.

Sage Intacct’s new Data Flows feature allows for seamless integration of different data systems, facilitating connections with applications like CRM software or Excel spreadsheets, simplifying data access for users. The platform also introduces Forms and Operational Flows, enhancing workflow digitization without the need for IT intervention, available in the US and Canada.

For nonprofit organizations, Sage Intacct offers prebuilt flows tailored to streamline operations from grant application to funding, available in the US and Canada. Additionally, the Construction Commitment Compliance tool meets the specific needs of the construction industry by automating compliance tracking, also available in the US and Canada.

In a move to cater to global customers, Sage Intacct is expanding into continental Europe with an early adopter program in Germany. This expansion allows multinational and German-based companies to leverage Sage Intacct’s financial solutions.

The platform also continues to enhance its Distribution and Manufacturing Operations, incorporating AI to aid quicker decision-making for resource utilization, available to early adopters in the US, UK, South Africa, Germany, and France.

These updates underscore Sage’s ongoing effort to support small and mid-sized businesses in streamlining their operations and fostering strategic growth through innovative technology solutions.
