Premier Construction Software announced a new partnership with workforce management platform Lumber on Tuesday, aiming to streamline payroll and HR processes for construction companies across North America.
The collaboration seeks to address a persistent issue in the construction industry: the integration of payroll, HR, and real-time labour data. Premier and Lumber say their combined technologies will help construction firms improve job costing accuracy and workforce optimization, a critical need in an industry known for tight margins and project delays.
“This partnership elevates our ability to deliver true end value to our clients,” said Karoline Lapko, CEO of Premier Construction Software. “In today’s fast-moving construction landscape, successful project delivery relies on accurate, real-time data flow and seamless software integration.” Lapko added that the partnership with Lumber allows for the development of a powerful API to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
Lumber’s co-founder, Shreesha Ramdas, emphasized the significance of the collaboration, describing it as a milestone for the construction sector. “By combining Premier’s robust ERP with Lumber’s cutting-edge payroll technology, we’re enabling greater project efficiency and unlocking new opportunities for seamless collaboration,” he said.
Manish Kumar, also a co-founder of Lumber, highlighted the shared values between the two companies. “We’re thrilled to partner with Premier Construction Software, a company that shares our commitment to integrity and innovation,” Kumar noted. He added that the integrated solution is designed to improve profitability and enhance employee well-being.
The partnership leverages Premier’s cloud-based ERP platform, which utilizes AI to provide real-time visibility and control over financial processes, and Lumber’s payroll technology, which caters specifically to construction businesses. According to Premier, the integrated system offers enhanced decision-making capabilities and process automation for construction companies, which are increasingly looking for ways to digitize and optimize their operations.
Founded in 2009, Premier Construction Software is a subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc. and operates globally, while Lumber focuses on AI-powered workforce management for contractors.
This partnership underscores the growing trend of digital transformation within the construction sector, as companies turn to advanced technology to navigate a highly competitive market.
