Employees at Parkland Corporation’s Burnaby Refinery in British Columbia have ratified a new three-year collective agreement with Unifor Local 641.

“We are pleased that our negotiated agreement with Unifor has been successfully ratified by its membership,” said Ferio Pugliese, senior vice-president at Parkland, expressed satisfaction with the agreement’s approval.

“We are grateful to our refinery employees for their tremendous dedication and look forward to continuing to safely and reliably provide Parkland customers with the essential fuels they depend on.”

The new agreement, which is retroactive to Feb. 1, 2023, will remain in effect until Jan. 31, 2026. This development is seen as a positive step for Parkland and its workforce, ensuring stability and continued operations at the Burnaby Refinery, the company said in a press release.

The company serves over one million customers daily through its extensive retail network, which includes approximately 4,000 locations in Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean region.
