OpenText Corp. has introduced MyAviator, a secure personal AI assistant designed to help individual knowledge workers interact with documents, extract insights and generate content within enterprise environments.
The Waterloo, Ontario-based information management company announced the new tool Tuesday as part of its expanded Aviator AI strategy, which aims to embed AI-driven automation into various industry workflows.
MyAviator allows employees to work with their own documents securely, summarize lengthy materials, prepare for meetings and create onboarding materials in hours rather than weeks. The tool operates within OpenText’s existing security and governance framework.
“OpenText is committed to secure information management for the digital knowledge worker – it is how we will introduce new paradigms of work, and deliver faster, smarter, and more personalized outcomes for our customers,” said Mark J. Barrenechea, CEO and CTO of OpenText. “Our strategy is grounded in unifying organizations through secure information, service management, and process automation – powered by AI. We intend to help organizations thrive by creating a limitless digital workforce.”
AI tools target multiple industries
OpenText’s broader Aviator suite includes AI-powered assistants for legal, finance, technology and energy sectors. The company says these tools are already delivering measurable results across various use cases.
In software development, OpenText reports its AI automates 95 per cent of test scripts, reducing manual testing time by up to three days. This allows developers to focus on innovation and helps e-commerce businesses roll out products faster.
For legal work, the AI tools help streamline investigations by quickly retrieving relevant case files, precedents and regulatory documents. This speeds up decision-making and ensures regulatory compliance while reducing legal workload and costs.
Claims processing sees automation gains
In insurance, AI-driven automation has improved claims processing by reducing processing time, detecting fraud and validating policies with minimal human input. The company says this results in faster claim resolutions, improved accuracy and stronger customer trust.
The tools also support research in industries like mining and biotechnology, where AI analyzes complex data to identify opportunities and reduce risk. Organizations can use these insights to locate extraction sites or predict treatment outcomes with greater precision.
Agile development gets AI support
OpenText’s AI tools also help with agile software development by analyzing and grouping user story content, automating backlog creation and aligning development with strategic goals. The system generates detailed user stories with contextual information to speed up time-to-market and improve team collaboration.
