A new awards program launched by Dialogue Health Technologies will recognize Canadian organizations that show a strong commitment to supporting employee health and well-being.
The Healthiest Workplace Awards will evaluate companies based on their use of Dialogue’s virtual health services, employee engagement levels, and results tied to workplace well-being, the company said in a news release Wednesday.
Dialogue CEO Cherif Habib said the awards were created to highlight employers that “put their people’s health first,” especially at a time when Canadians are increasingly focused on managing stress, sleep, and overall wellness.
“By partnering with organizations that share this vision, we can have a positive impact on millions of Canadians,” he said.
Award recipients will be selected from among Dialogue’s clients and partners. Criteria include high employee registration and utilization of Dialogue’s health platform, strong well-being scores measured against World Health Organization benchmarks, and comprehensive access to services like primary care, mental health support, and employee assistance programs.
The awards come amid growing concern over workplace well-being. In 2024, 75 per cent of HR professionals cited employee wellness as a top challenge. A Dialogue survey also found that nearly half of working Canadians rely on employer-sponsored benefits to manage their health.
“Workplace health and wellness initiatives are more than just a benefit—they’re a strategic investment,” said Dr. Marc Robin, medical director at Dialogue. “Organizations that prioritize employee well-being see not only healthier, happier workforces but also a measurable return through increased productivity and engagement.”
Only a small number of organizations using Dialogue’s platform—less than one per cent—will receive the award, the company said.
Dialogue, acquired by Sun Life in 2023, offers 24/7 access to virtual health services through its Integrated Health Platform. It operates independently as part of Sun Life Canada.
