Global companies are seeing benefits from UKG’s One View payroll solution, which uses AI to validate and synchronize payroll data across multiple countries, providing businesses with real-time insights for decision-making, according to the company.

The solution, which was named a Leader in NelsonHall’s 2024 Payroll Services Evaluation for Multi-country Payroll, helps multinational organizations manage complex payroll operations by creating a unified system that works with various in-country payroll providers.

“Having the One View team on hand at the other end of a phone call all the way through the process was really useful,” said Stephen Bevan, director of worldwide payroll at Trellix, a cybersecurity company with 4,000 employees across 32 countries.

Bevan noted that the implementation process was “smooth and repeatable” despite being rolled out country by country, allowing his team to “deliver on time, accurate payrolls every time,” which raised their profile within the organization.

Consolidating multiple systems

The One View solution addresses a common challenge for multinational companies: managing payroll across different countries with varying regulations, tax structures, and compliance requirements.

For Crane Worldwide Logistics, which operates in 30 countries, the solution consolidated 11 different payroll systems into one.

“Previously, we had 11 different systems to manage payroll, and it was a complete nightmare,” said Kandace Palmisano, global payroll manager at the third-party logistics company. “We now have 26 countries live on UKG One View in just two years.”

Palmisano emphasized the integration benefits between UKG Pro suite and One View, noting that information flows directly between systems, requiring maintenance of only “one system of record.”

Part of larger HCM suites

While available as a standalone product, UKG One View integrates with the company’s broader human capital management (HCM) offerings. These include the UKG Pro suite, recognized as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud HCM Suites, and the UKG Ready suite, which targets small and medium-sized businesses.

When implemented as part of these larger suites, the system handles processes from employee scheduling through to pay distribution across more than 120 currencies, 20 languages, and 160 countries.

Richard Limpkin, vice president and general manager of One View at UKG, said the solution was developed to address “the world’s most complex workforce challenges, like multi-country payroll.” By simplifying these complex processes, organizations can enhance employee experience while gaining access to workforce insights that help leaders make “more confident business decisions,” said Limpkin.

UKG will showcase its payroll solutions at the upcoming Payroll Congress 2025 in Orlando, Florida, from May 13-15, where company representatives will lead sessions on global payroll myths, overcoming analysis paralysis in payroll operations, and strategies for building trust in payroll systems.
