Unifor has reached a tentative agreement with Loblaw-owned Dominion stores in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Details of the tentative agreement will first be shared with Dominion members of Unifor Local 597 in a series of ratification meetings to be scheduled in the coming days, it said in a press release.

Unifor represents more than 1,200 Dominion grocery workers at 11 stores across the island of Newfoundland.

Unifor is Canada’s largest union in the private sector and represents 315,000 workers in every major area of the economy. The union advocates for all working people and their rights, fights for equality and social justice in Canada and abroad, and strives to create progressive change for a better future.
