Paylocity unveils updates to streamline high-volume hiring

by HR News Canada

Paylocity announced new enhancements to its Recruiting platform on Thursday, aimed at helping employers handle high-volume hiring and improving the candidate experience.

The updates are designed to address challenges faced by industries with high turnover rates, such as retail and hospitality, where hiring teams often manage large volumes of applications and tight timelines. Steve Beauchamp, executive chairman of the board at Paylocity, said the enhancements aim to simplify workflows and reduce time-to-hire.

“Our enhanced Recruiting platform empowers organizations to source top talent efficiently, deliver a seamless candidate experience, and ultimately fill roles faster,” said Beauchamp.

The new features include integrated scheduling tools, automated interview options, and streamlined assessment capabilities. Recruiters can now access and manage candidate data, schedule interviews, and complete evaluations entirely within the Paylocity platform, reducing administrative tasks and delays.

One of the updates includes integration with Microsoft Outlook, Gmail, and iCloud for real-time scheduling, enabling recruiters to send calendar invites with meeting links and documents. Candidates can also self-schedule interviews, eliminating back-and-forth communication.

To help hiring teams screen a broader pool of applicants quickly, the platform introduces one-way video interviews. Candidates can record responses to screening questions on their own time, allowing recruiters to review submissions without the need for scheduling.

The platform also supports pre-hire assessments through partnerships with third-party vendors, enabling recruiters to manage evaluations as part of the workflow.

Paylocity said its enhancements focus on data-driven decision-making, improving the speed and quality of hires while easing the workload on recruitment teams. One-way video interviews will be available this spring, while other features, such as integrated assessments and scheduling tools, are already live.
