The Fred Douglas Society (FDS), a Winnipeg-based organization providing care for seniors, has adopted a new workforce management platform, LGI Workforce Pro, to enhance operational efficiency and simplify its human resources, payroll, and scheduling processes.

The software, developed by Montreal’s LGI Healthcare Solutions, includes features like automatic shift replacement notifications and detailed time and attendance tracking. According to FDS CEO Greg Reid, the platform will address key operational challenges.

“LGI Workforce Pro will bring a transformative level of efficiency to our HR, payroll, and scheduling operations,” he said. “This demonstrates how an all-in-one solution can deliver significant value, optimizing workforce management and providing a solid foundation for growth.”

The Fred Douglas Society supports more than 600 seniors across seven sites in Winnipeg, including personal care homes, supportive housing spaces, and apartments. The adoption of LGI Workforce Pro is expected to reduce scheduling disruptions, minimize payroll discrepancies, and ensure compliance with collective agreement rules, according to LGI Healthcare Solutions.

Michel Desgagné, President and CEO of LGI Healthcare Solutions, described the partnership as a strategic fit. “By choosing LGI Workforce Pro, FDS now has an efficient, centralized platform that not only supports their current needs but is built to scale as they continue to grow,” he said.

LGI Healthcare Solutions, which has provided healthcare IT services for over 40 years, serves facilities across Canada and internationally. The Fred Douglas Society’s decision to integrate LGI Workforce Pro reflects an effort to streamline administrative functions and focus resources on senior care.
