ADP has signed Canadian professional golfer Sudarshan Yellamaraju to its global Team ADP roster, marking the first Canadian athlete to join the company’s international sports sponsorship program.

The 24-year-old Mississauga-raised golfer recently earned his PGA TOUR card for the 2026 season and finished tied for 13th at the 2026 Sony Open in his rookie season debut.

“ADP signing Sudarshan to join Team ADP represents ADP’s longstanding commitment to the Canadian market where we have operated for nearly half a century,” said Jim Lord, president of ADP Canada.

Team ADP currently includes professional golfers from Australia, France, South Africa, and the United States. ADP has operated in Canada for 47 years as an HR and payroll solutions provider.

From YouTube videos to the PGA TOUR

Born in Visakhapatnam, India, Yellamaraju moved with his family to Winnipeg before relocating to Mississauga at age 11. He taught himself golf through YouTube videos and practice at local courses.

Yellamaraju turned professional at 19, competing on local mini-tours in Ontario before joining PGA TOUR Canada. In 2022, he claimed his first professional victory on the Minor League Golf Tour in Florida.

After finishing tied for 14th at the Final Stage of the 2023 PGA Tour Q-School, Yellamaraju earned Korn Ferry Tour membership for the 2024 season.

Breakout 2025 season

In 2025, Yellamaraju won the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic and recorded three additional top-10 finishes on the Korn Ferry Tour. The performance earned him PGA TOUR status for 2026.

“Joining Team ADP with so many impressive golfers from around the world is an exciting milestone for my professional golf career,” said Yellamaraju.

ADP provides HR and payroll solutions to more than 1.1 million clients across 140-plus countries.
