Asure Software is expanding its use of artificial intelligence in human capital management through a strategic partnership with Amazon Web Services, with plans to develop tools that could reshape payroll, compliance, and employee engagement systems.
The Austin-based firm, which provides cloud-based HR and payroll software, said its collaboration with AWS is already delivering early results in areas such as call centre operations and is laying the groundwork for broader AI integration across HR functions.
Yasmine Rodriguez, Asure’s chief technology officer, said the alliance is helping the company experiment and deploy generative AI solutions that aim to address both current pain points and long-term workforce trends.
“Partnering closely with AWS allows Asure to explore, experiment, and quickly deploy AI-powered solutions that will fundamentally redefine the Human Capital Management landscape,” Rodriguez said in a statement.
Highlighted in a recent post on AWS’s machine learning blog, Asure’s initial projects involve Amazon Q in QuickSight, a generative AI tool that uses natural language to streamline reporting and analysis. The company said future plans include predictive analytics, intelligent workforce management, automated payroll, and real-time compliance monitoring.
Rodriguez added that the capabilities of generative and “agentic” AI—a reference to models that can act with a degree of independence—have the potential to significantly boost productivity and transform how HR departments operate.
Asure said the goal is to develop systems that offer more personalized experiences for employees while making HR processes more efficient and scalable for employers.
