Avetta has announced a new partnership with Energy Worldnet (EWN) to enhance operator qualification (OQ) compliance management for the oil and gas sector, combining their resources to help clients meet regulatory standards more efficiently.
The collaboration integrates EWN’s OQ management features with the Avetta One platform, aiming to provide midstream operators with a unified solution for overseeing contractor qualifications and safety compliance. Avetta stated that this integration would allow real-time data synchronization, reducing administrative burden and ensuring accurate contractor compliance information, essential for meeting Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) regulations.
Taylor Allis, Chief Product Officer at Avetta, highlighted the operational benefits of the new system. “Integrating EWN’s OQ data with Avetta One Worker Management equips pipeline operators with a single platform to oversee both safety and OQ requirements efficiently,” said Allis. “This partnership simplifies operations and aids in PHMSA audits by offering a streamlined approach that improves training, transparency, and traceability.”
Coleman Sterling, CEO of EWN, added that the partnership aligns with EWN’s commitment to advancing safety standards in the energy sector. “We’re excited to partner with Avetta to enhance compliance in the energy sector,” said Sterling. “Together, we’re driving operational excellence across the industry by providing cutting-edge tools that streamline OQ processes and ensure regulatory compliance.”
Avetta and EWN stated that additional benefits include improved compliance tracking for regulatory audits and a comprehensive view of contractor compliance through Avetta’s Mobile Solution, enabling onsite access to critical data. This feature, according to Sean Kelly, Director of Environmental, Health, Safety, and Compliance at Producers Midstream, will “empower teams to ensure compliance and boost operational efficiency.”
The companies see the partnership as a step towards reducing inconsistencies between OQ providers and compliance software, an issue that has long complicated PHMSA compliance for operators. The new system will allow users to manage OQ compliance alongside other assessments such as prequalification and cyber risk, Avetta explained.
Both companies expressed confidence that their combined platform would set a new standard in safety and compliance management for the oil and gas industry.
