BusPatrol has named Kate Manahan as its new Chief People Officer, tasking her with overseeing human resources, talent management, and diversity and inclusion initiatives at the school bus safety technology company.
Manahan, who joined the company this month, brings a background in building high-performing teams and fostering collaborative workplace cultures. She previously served as Chief People Officer at Built Technologies, where she developed and implemented the company’s people strategy and processes. Earlier in her career, Manahan spent 15 years at Bridgewater Associates, holding leadership roles in talent development and diversity and inclusion.
In her new position, Manahan will play a central role in shaping the company’s workplace culture as it continues to grow. “It’s not often you get to be part of a company where technology and student safety come together in such a meaningful way,” Manahan said. “I’m proud to be leading a team of people who are all so dedicated to the same mission – making roads safer for students – and I can’t wait to help drive that forward.”
Karoon Monfared, CEO of BusPatrol, said Manahan’s appointment reflects the company’s focus on building a strong foundation of people and culture. “Our people are our greatest asset in delivering our safety mission,” Monfared said, adding that Manahan’s “strategic thinking, passion, and creativity” will support the company’s goals of innovation and continuous improvement.
BusPatrol, founded in 2017, provides safety technology for school buses, including systems for monitoring and enforcing stop-arm violations and other cloud-connected tools. The company partners with school districts, municipalities, and law enforcement agencies across North America.
