The International Coaching Federation and Chartered Professionals in Human Resources Canada signed a partnership agreement Monday to share resources and research between their combined 91,000 members.
The memorandum of understanding allows both organizations to exchange information, knowledge and research to benefit members in coaching and human resources fields. The partnership will also create and distribute content that broadens understanding of people management and coaching practices.
Enhanced services for Canadian HR professionals
CPHR Canada represents 31,000 HR professionals across nine provinces and three territories. The organization will work with ICF to offer members access to coaching resources and best practices.
“We are extremely pleased to formalize our relationship with the ICF to the benefit of our more than 31,000 members across Canada,” said Anthony Ariganello, president and CEO of CPHR Canada. “As the importance and understanding of the significant value that the HR profession brings to organizational growth and success grows, such agreements allow us to ensure our memberships are evolving in tandem to offer best practices to the leaderships of their respective organizations.”
The partnership comes as organizations face challenges including employee health and wellness issues, geopolitical tensions and economic pressures.
Global coaching network joins Canadian HR expertise
ICF, founded in 1995, represents more than 60,000 coaches and credential-holders in over 160 countries. The organization works to advance coaching as a profession and maintain ethical standards in the field.
“This MOU comes at the most opportune time for the memberships of the ICF as well as CPHR Canada,” said Magdalena Nowicka Mook, CEO of ICF. “At a time when many of our respective memberships are having to navigate through unchartered waters stemming from employee health & wellness issues, geopolitical tensions, and economic stresses, just to name a few, our partnership allows members to access much needed resources to help them get through this critical time.”
Research and content development
Both organizations will commission research and create content focused on people management and coaching. The partnership aims to enhance the value of both professions by providing access to leading-edge resources and best practices.
CPHR Canada, established in 1994, serves as the national voice for HR professionals in Canada and represents the Canadian HR profession internationally. ICF leads global advancement of coaching and works to integrate coaching into organizations and communities worldwide.
