DP World has been named one of BC’s Top Employers for 2026, marking eight consecutive years the logistics company has received the recognition.
The award was announced Feb. 10 in The Vancouver Sun and on Eluta.ca. It is part of the annual Canada’s Top 100 Employers project, which evaluates organizations based on eight criteria: workplace, culture and social programs, health and family benefits, vacation and time off, employee communications, performance management, training and development, and community involvement.
DP World operates nearly 500 employees across five British Columbia sites: Vancouver, Fraser Surrey, Nanaimo, Prince Rupert, and its Canadian headquarters in Burnaby.
Financial and wellness benefits
The company offers comprehensive financial planning services including group and individual financial planning, retirement workshops, and a defined contribution pension plan.
Wellness programs include fitness classes, nutrition workshops, and mental health resources. Employees receive a $1,500 annual wellness spending account and complimentary access to the Calm app.
Professional development programs
DP World provides tuition subsidies covering up to 100 percent of costs for employee education. The company runs targeted programs including WomenLead and MentorHer, as well as leadership opportunities such as The Art of Leadership for Women.
Safety initiatives include Recover at Work, the “Find It Fix It” challenge, and Safety Engagement Tours.

Community engagement
Employees receive two paid volunteer days annually. The company matches charitable donations up to $1,000 per employee per year.
According to the company, DP World provided nearly $500,000 in community grants in 2025 and entered into new partnership agreements valued at more than $1 million. The company is in the final phase of a multi-year $1 million partnership to build new facilities at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver.
The company’s Sustainability, DEIB, and Social and Wellness Committees hosted and supported more than 50 events in 2025, according to the company.
Additional recognition
DP World was also named to The Career Directory as one of Canada’s Best Employers for Recent Graduates. The company earned Great Place to Work certification across multiple locations in the Americas, including Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Peru.
DP World has been operating in Canada for nearly 20 years. The company employs more than 16,000 people across 12 countries in the Americas and operates 14 ports and terminals and more than 40 warehouses in the region.
