The Halton Region has been recognized as a 2025 Greater Toronto Top Employer, marking the 14th time it has received this distinction.

The annual competition evaluates public and private organizations based on workplace culture, employee benefits, and professional development opportunities. The selection committee praised Halton Region for its generous mental health benefits, comprehensive health and wellness programs, and extensive retiree benefits.
Halton Region employs over 3,100 professionals who deliver essential services to more than 650,000 residents and businesses in Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton, and Oakville. Its wide-ranging services include water and wastewater management, regional roads and infrastructure planning, paramedic services, waste management, public health, social services, housing, and economic development.
