Hershey names Natalie Rothman as chief human resources officer

The Hershey Company has appointed Natalie Rothman as chief human resources officer, effective immediately, the chocolate and snacks manufacturer announced Monday.

Rothman will lead Hershey’s global human resources function and report to president and CEO Kirk Tanner, according to the company.

Executive background

Rothman brings more than 25 years of human resources experience and has served as chief human resources officer at two companies, Hershey said. She has worked across consumer products, retail, food service, automotive and beauty industries.

“Her proven track record of transforming HR functions at major organizations, combined with her deep expertise in developing talent and inspiring thriving cultures, makes her the ideal leader to advance our people strategy,” Tanner said in a statement.

Previous roles

Before joining Hershey, Rothman worked as chief human resources officer at Inspire Brands, where she updated the company’s HR operations through business process automation and AI tools, according to the company.

She previously served as chief human resources officer at Advance Auto Parts, where she led business transformation efforts focused on cultural change and talent development through technology solutions, Hershey said.

Board positions

Rothman currently serves on the boards of Udemy, Pearce Services and as an advisory board member at Emory Goizueta Business School and New Mountain Capital, according to the company. She is also a member of the New York and New Jersey Bar and the Human Resources Policy Association.

The Pennsylvania-based company employs more than 20,000 people globally and reported annual revenues of more than $11.2 billion, according to Hershey.
