Two Canadian healthcare providers are joining forces to deliver an integrated service combining employee mental health support with virtual medical care for workplaces across the country.

Homewood Health and Cleveland Clinic Canada announced Tuesday they’ve launched a comprehensive program that combines Homewood’s employee assistance services with Cleveland Clinic Canada’s virtual healthcare platform.

The partnership aims to provide employers with a unified solution that addresses both physical and mental health needs through a single access point, according to Jagoda Pike, president and CEO of Homewood Health Inc.

“This is more than just another virtual health service—it brings together a combined 250 years of health expertise,” said Pike. “By integrating virtual medical care and specialist referrals with Homewood’s extensive mental health and employee assistance services and advanced digital platform, we can meaningfully impact employee health, engagement and productivity.”

Virtual healthcare features

The new service provides employees with unlimited access to nurse practitioners through virtual appointments, with the ability to discuss multiple health concerns in a single session. The platform covers employees nationwide and offers comprehensive testing, screening and specialist referrals.

A notable feature is the inclusion of TytoCare technology, which enables remote diagnostics for conditions requiring temperature readings, throat and ear examinations, and heart and lung assessments.

“A healthier workforce is a stronger workforce,” said Mike Kessel, president and CEO of Cleveland Clinic Canada. “By combining expert virtual medical care with seamless mental health support, we’re not just treating illnesses—we’re creating a workplace culture where well-being comes first.”

Mental health integration

Homewood Health’s contribution to the partnership includes its MeetNow service for immediate counselling access, Enhanced Mental Health Care for longer-term psychotherapy, and a digital platform that provides personalized support recommendations and counsellor matching.

The companies say the integrated approach ensures employees receive appropriate care when needed, which they believe will help organizations build more resilient teams.

Homewood Health has operated in Canada for over 140 years and maintains a network of more than 6,000 employees and clinical experts, while Cleveland Clinic Canada is the Canadian branch of the international nonprofit medical centre established in 1921.
