Horizon Bank names Pam Zarazee director of human resources

Horizon Bank has appointed Pam Zarazee as senior vice president and director of human resources, effective immediately.

Zarazee will lead the bank’s human resources function, overseeing talent management, employee engagement, and compensation. She will join Horizon Bank’s senior leadership team at the Michigan City, Indiana-based institution.

“Pam’s proven experience in employee development and engagement, succession planning, HR technology, and compensation design will quickly bring significant value to the organization as she works alongside the highly talented team within our current HR department,” said Thomas Prame, president and CEO.

Prame noted Zarazee has been recognized for her work in enhancing company culture through talent planning, establishing employee feedback systems, and aligning people strategies with business goals. Her experience also includes training program development, merger and acquisition integration, and benefits design.

Zarazee holds a Bachelor of Science in human resources and business from Indiana University and a master’s degree from the University of Notre Dame.

Horizon Bank is a commercial banking subsidiary of Horizon Bancorp, Inc., which trades on NASDAQ under the symbol HBNC. The bank has $6.7 billion in assets and operates branches across Indiana and Michigan, serving customers through digital tools and physical locations.
