Imperial Tobacco Canada has been recognized as a Great Place to Work for 2024, joining the ranks of employers acknowledged for their positive workplace environments. This certification comes directly from employee feedback, reflecting the company’s efforts to cultivate a supportive and inclusive workplace, it said in a press release.

“We are immensely proud of this recognition, especially as it comes directly from feedback received by our employees,” said Frank Silva, President of Imperial Tobacco Canada. “We put enormous efforts into creating an environment where we can all shine and achieve our full potential.”

The certification process involved an anonymous survey conducted by Great Place to Work, which assessed various aspects of the employee experience. The survey, which included responses from all 500 employees, measured trust in leadership, pride in their work, and camaraderie among colleagues.

Imperial Tobacco Canada, a prominent player in the tobacco and nicotine product sector, distributes its products to over 29,000 retailers nationwide. Despite facing significant industry challenges, the company emphasizes teamwork and ethical practices as central to its operations, it said.

“This certification reflects our ongoing efforts to prioritize employee satisfaction, well-being, and professional development,” said Lito Charet, Vice President of Human Resources and Inclusion. “We remain committed to fostering an inclusive environment where every team member feels valued and empowered to contribute their best work.”
