The Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) has appointed Lindsay Temple as interim chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Temple, a current HRPA board member, brings experience in HR strategy, enterprise risk management and governance to the role. She will begin office hours Jan. 7.
The appointment follows the departure of Jodi Kovitz, who announced in November she would step down at the end of 2025 to pursue a new opportunity. Kovitz will continue in an advisory capacity until Jan. 30, 2026.
Board search underway
The HRPA board is conducting a search for a permanent CEO to advance the association’s Vision 2027 strategic plan.
“Jodi has brought tremendous energy to the HRPA along with a strategic focus and a people-first approach,” said Alison Staples, chair of the HRPA board, in November. “She has amplified the HRPA’s voice and helped inspire a renewed sense of purpose and connection across our membership.”
Kovitz joined HRPA as CEO and led the organization through changes outlined in its Vision 2027 plan.
