Mawer Investment Management has been named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2026, marking the Calgary-based firm’s third consecutive year on the national list. The recognition highlights the company’s focus on employee well-being, development, and long-term support during a period of workplace change.
The award, managed by Mediacorp Canada Inc., evaluates employers across criteria related to benefits, workplace culture, communication, training, and community involvement.
Commitment to employee support
Audra Campbell, head of human resources at Mawer, said the recognition reinforces the firm’s approach to people and culture.
“We are proud to be recognized among Canada’s Top 100 Employers for a third consecutive year,” Campbell said. “This recognition affirms our commitment to listening to employees, investing in their growth, and ensuring they feel confident and supported—no matter the external environment.”
Mawer said it was selected for its focus on well-being, professional development, and community engagement.
Key workplace programs
The company outlined several initiatives that contributed to its selection:
Health and wellness: Comprehensive health benefits, mental health resources, and a parental leave top-up.
Work-life balance: Hybrid work flexibility and an open vacation policy.
Employee growth: A $5,000 annual learning stipend and development opportunities.
Financial security: Competitive pay and a focus on long-term financial well-being.
Community engagement: A donation-matching program of up to $3,000 per year.
Mediacorp noted that this year’s winners showed strong support for employees amid uncertainty and maintained investment in talent.
Workforce development focus
The firm said it remains committed to attracting and retaining talent and supporting employees as the workplace continues to evolve. Campbell said the award “motivates us to keep advancing our efforts to provide a workplace where employees can grow, innovate, and make a meaningful impact.”
