Power Staffing Solutions, a Toronto-based recruitment agency specializing in healthcare, IT, and professional staffing, has announced the addition of Thushanth Sivaananthan as a shareholder and the company’s new Executive Vice President.

Sivaananthan, who brings experience in tactical operations and large-scale project management across North America, joins the firm’s leadership team as it seeks to expand its market presence.

His appointment is seen as a strategic move by PSS President and CEO, Saye Sathiyakumar, who has a long-standing friendship with Sivaananthan, according to a press release. The two have known each other since high school and started an urban clothing business together at the age of 17 before transitioning into their respective careers.

“Introducing Thushanth to the recruitment world was a chess move seven years ago—I anticipated that this day would come,” said Sathiyakumar. “Now that the timing is right, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to take our company to the next level alongside one of my best friends, while simultaneously forming an unstoppable leadership team.”

Sivaananthan previously served as Vice President at one of Canada’s largest labour workforce organizations, managing over $250 million in gross revenues. His background includes studies in mental health and experience in building a non-profit clinic in Toronto before he entered the staffing industry in 2017 at the invitation of Sathiyakumar.

“Our combined expertise is sure to be a game changer and shake up the industry,” said Sivaananthan. “With my passion for recruitment, plus my experience in both technology and healthcare, I believe that becoming a partner at PSS is my true calling. I’m ready to take Power Staffing Solutions to new heights by bringing an unprecedented level of service delivery and value to our clients.”
