Robert Half releases 2023 ESG report emphasizing integrity and inclusion

Robert Half, a global talent solutions and business consulting firm, has published its 2023 “Leading With Integrity Report.” The document details the firm’s progress and future plans regarding its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals. The report covers a range of initiatives from Robert Half and its subsidiary, Protiviti, focusing on governance, a people-centric approach, community involvement, and environmental sustainability.

Keith Waddell, President and CEO of Robert Half, stated, “Our enterprise values—integrity, inclusion, innovation, and commitment to success—are the cornerstones of everything we do.” He emphasized that these values guide the company’s ESG priorities, which include a strong focus on ethical practices, community engagement, and environmental responsibility.

Key findings from the 2023 report reveal that 92% of employees view Robert Half and Protiviti as excellent workplaces. This year, the company enhanced its employee benefits and professional development opportunities, including expanded training, mentorship programs, and support for hybrid work models.

The report also highlights the company’s commitment to inclusivity, noting that 54% of its global internal workforce are women and detailing the work of its 17 Employee Network Groups (ENGs), which promote a supportive and inclusive workplace culture.

In terms of community engagement, Robert Half reported $7.1 million in community investments in 2023. These contributions included matching employee donations and supporting volunteer efforts, with employees logging over 74,500 volunteer hours—a significant increase from the previous year.

Environmental efforts were also a focal point, with Robert Half setting near-term greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets, which have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative.
