SafetyCo Partners has launched a new division in northern Ontario, expanding its footprint through the acquisition of Norpro’s health and safety division and bringing integrated safety services to industries across the region.
SafetyCo North will be based in Sault Ste. Marie and led by safety professionals Jessica Amadio and Shannan Boston. The company said the new division will serve clients in cities including North Bay, Sudbury and Timmins.
The acquisition gives SafetyCo North the ability to deliver a broad range of safety services, from on-site safety officers and compliance consulting to advanced rescue services and ISO implementation. The expansion also adds depth to SafetyCo’s industrial hygiene capabilities.
“Northern Ontario powers some of Canada’s most critical industries,” said Mark Ferrier, co-founder and president of SafetyCo Partners. “SafetyCo North is uniquely positioned to meet this need, with integrated safety solutions ready to scale alongside the region’s infrastructure and industry growth.”
Founded in 2022, Toronto-based SafetyCo Partners has grown quickly, offering training, consulting, staffing, rescue and compliance services under one umbrella. Its partners include ACUTE, Industrial Safety Trainers and Mentor Safety Consultants.
The company’s client list includes major employers such as General Motors, Magna International, EllisDon and Canadian Tire, as well as several municipalities and nuclear labs.
The safety services market in Canada is projected to double by 2030, driven by regulatory pressures, population growth and increased enforcement, the company said.
