The Government of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Government and General Employees’ Union (SGEU) PS/GE bargaining unit have successfully ratified a Memorandum of Agreement, marking the end of negotiations that began after the previous contract expired in September 2022.

The newly ratified agreement, which spans from Oct. 1, 2022, to Sept. 30, 2025, includes annual wage increases of 3 per cent in the first two years and 1.67 per cent in the third year. Additionally, there will be a 0.4 per cent pension increase for members not already receiving 9 per cent.

“I am pleased with both parties’ commitment and co-operation in working at the bargaining table to reach a new collective agreement that is good for both public service employees and the people of Saskatchewan,” said Dustin Duncan, Minister Responsible for the Public Service Commission.

SGEU, representing approximately 11,000 employees from various government ministries, has been in negotiations with the government since the previous agreement lapsed.
