Suominen names Minna Rouru as chief people and communications officer

Suominen Corporation has appointed Minna Rouru as its new Chief People and Communications Officer, the company announced on Monday. Rouru, currently Vice President of People and Communications at KONE Corporation, is expected to assume the role by February 2025 at the latest.

Rouru will join Suominen’s Executive Management Team and report directly to President and CEO Tommi Björnman. She brings extensive international experience in human resources and change leadership, having worked across Asia, the Americas, and Europe.

In a statement, Björnman expressed confidence in Rouru’s ability to further strengthen the company’s culture and enhance workforce skills. “Minna combines strong international HR experience with business and communications acumen. I trust in her ability to continue building the Suominen culture, as well as promoting the competence of our work community,” he said.

Suominen, a Finnish company, specializes in the production of nonwovens, which are used in a range of applications, including wipes, healthcare, and hygiene products.
