TransUnion has appointed Alicia Zuiker as executive vice president and chief human resources officer, effective June 23, as the Chicago-based information and insights company continues to expand its global operations.

Zuiker brings experience from major technology and financial services companies, most recently serving as chief people officer for ride-sharing company Lyft. She will oversee human resources and communications functions while reporting to President and CEO Chris Cartwright.

Background and experience

Before joining Lyft, Zuiker held senior HR positions at medical technology company Visby Medical and helped develop people operations for Google Cloud. She started her career with 14 years at General Electric in various HR leadership roles.

“We have bold aspirations for growth and innovation at TransUnion, and our success starts with our people,” said Cartwright. “Alicia is a powerful addition to our leadership team and our ongoing work to build a Workforce for Good that enables our customers, consumers and company to thrive.”

Zuiker holds a master’s degree in human resource management from Purdue University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and psychology from Alma College.

Role and responsibilities

In her new position, Zuiker will lead global talent strategies for the company, which operates in more than 30 countries with over 13,000 employees. She will serve on the executive leadership team as TransUnion works to expand beyond its traditional credit reporting foundation into marketing, fraud prevention and advanced analytics.

“TransUnion leverages data and insights to create positive impact for consumers, businesses and economies worldwide,” said Zuiker. “I’m thrilled to join the team and contribute to our culture of innovation and continued business growth.”

The appointment comes as TransUnion continues to grow through acquisitions and technology investments, positioning itself as more than a traditional credit bureau. The company describes its mission as creating “Information for Good” to enable economic opportunity and personal empowerment globally.

TransUnion trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol TRU.
