UKG and Ellucian have announced a strategic partnership to integrate their technology platforms, giving colleges and universities a more connected system for managing HR, payroll, workforce scheduling, and student data.
The partnership links UKG’s workforce management and human capital management suites with Ellucian’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) and student information systems (SIS). The goal is to reduce duplicate data entry, improve compliance reporting, and simplify operations for frontline staff, faculty, and student employees.
What the integration covers
Under the agreement, workforce data will flow between Ellucian’s ERP and SIS platforms and UKG’s Pro Workforce Management, Pro Human Capital Management, and Ready HCM suites. The integration will include time tracking and reporting tools designed specifically for grant-funded roles and student-employee scheduling — two areas that frequently trigger audit and compliance requirements at post-secondary institutions.
The companies say they will also develop a joint product roadmap and a unified customer support model, including co-implementation teams and customer advisory boards aimed at simplifying deployment for colleges and universities.
What company executives are saying
“This partnership marks a pivotal moment for higher education institutions seeking to modernize their workforce operations,” said Jay Dettling, Chief Partner Officer at UKG. “Our goal is to help colleges and universities achieve better business outcomes while supporting the people who make education and campus life possible.”
Jeff Dinski, Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer at Ellucian, said the partnership will help schools stay competitive. “This partnership allows colleges and universities to unify their administrative and workforce systems, enabling better decision-making and operational agility.”
