UKG placed seventh overall among large organizations in Computerworld’s 2026 Best Places to Work in IT rankings, marking the highest position achieved by any software provider on the list.

The Massachusetts-based company, which provides HR, payroll and workforce management software, also received six separate workplace recognition awards from Forbes, including spots on lists for best employers globally and best tech workplaces in America.

“The strongest organizations are built when employees are empowered to do their best work, feel connected to one another, and are supported by benefits that reflect their varying needs,” said Beth Conway, chief people officer at UKG.

Recognition across multiple categories

In Computerworld’s rankings, UKG moved up one position from 2025 and placed in the top 10 across several subcategories:

  • Workplace culture: Fourth place
  • Benefits and compensation: Seventh place
  • Retention and engagement: Seventh place

The Computerworld assessment evaluated large organizations on their treatment of technology workers.

Forbes workplace awards

Forbes recognized UKG across six different employer categories, according to the company. The lists included World’s Best Employers, which assessed organizations in 50 countries on compensation, career advancement, work-life balance and reputation.

Other Forbes honours included America’s Best Employers for Tech Workers, where software development, cybersecurity and technical support employees rated companies on salary, growth opportunities and flexibility.

UKG also appeared on Forbes lists for company culture, dream employers among college students and current workers, best employers for women, and best employers in Massachusetts.

Conway said the recognition validates the company’s focus on employee experience for both its own workforce and the tens of millions of employees who use UKG’s software platforms.

Company benefits and workforce

UKG offers benefits including competitive leave policies, professional development programs, paid volunteer time and health and wellness programs, according to the company.

The company serves more than 80,000 organizations across 150 countries.
