Vimeo has appointed Irene Hendricks as its chief people officer, tasking her with leading the company’s human resources operations and shaping its workplace culture as it continues to expand.
Hendricks, who joined the video platform in August, will oversee efforts to build an inclusive and engaging environment for employees while aligning HR strategies with business growth, Vimeo announced Tuesday.
“Vimeo has been growing our talent, and we are thrilled to welcome Irene as our chief people officer,” said Philip Moyer, Vimeo’s CEO. “Irene has a proven track record of building organizations, cultivating learning cultures and creating engaging workplaces. We are excited about having Irene’s leadership to unlock the full potential of Vimeo for our team and our customers.”
Hendricks brings over 25 years of experience in human resources leadership, having held senior roles at financial technology and services companies. Before joining Vimeo, she served as chief people officer at revenue cycle management company Acclara, where she led HR and communications teams. Her previous experience includes HR leadership roles at DailyPay, MasterCard, and Citi’s student loans division.
“This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to join Vimeo and continue to foster a global culture that Vimeans can be proud of,” Hendricks said. “We’ll continue to nurture a culture of inclusivity and innovation that mirrors this dynamic environment and empowers every team member — new and existing — to contribute their best.”
The announcement comes as Vimeo continues to position itself as a leading platform for video creators and enterprises, with its workforce playing a key role in advancing its strategy.
