A Dryden, Ont., man was severely injured in a workplace accident May 28 at Manitou Forest Products.

The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development confirmed by email Thursday night that it “was notified of an injury to a worker in Emo” on May 28.

“It was reported that a worker was injured while using machinery,” according to the email.

The email said a workplace inspector has been assigned and “the ministry’s investigation is ongoing.”

The ministry added that no further information will be made available while the investigation is pursued.

Manitou Forest Products had not return calls and emails for comment as of Friday morning.
