Dalhousie University and its faculty association have reached a tentative agreement, ending a nearly month-long labour disruption.
The two sides have released a joint statement saying faculty members would return to work.
The faculty association said it would not release details of the agreement before its members have voted on the deal.
The agreement would also need to be approved by the university’s board of governors.
The university and the faculty association said they would soon confirm when classes would resume.
The university locked faculty out on Aug. 20, and the nearly 1,000 union members began a strike two days later.
