UKG has released a mobile-first hiring platform that reduces time-to-hire for frontline positions to as little as 24 to 48 hours, addressing a critical challenge for organizations struggling with high-volume recruitment and staffing gaps.

The workforce management company unveiled Rapid Hire and Dynamic Labor Management at its Aspire 2025 conference in Las Vegas on Nov. 4. Rapid Hire is available immediately to UKG customers, while Dynamic Labor Management will launch in the first quarter of 2026.

Chat-based hiring replaces traditional applications

Rapid Hire uses a conversational chat interface that eliminates account registration and replaces standard job applications with a skills-based matching system. The platform pairs candidates with open positions based on what the company calls success DNA, which focuses on relevant skills and experience.

The tool automates 90 per cent of repetitive hiring tasks, including job postings, candidate follow-ups, interview scheduling and onboarding paperwork, according to the company. UKG said this saves managers several hours per week.

“The launch of Rapid Hire marks an exciting step forward in helping organizations build stronger frontline teams with less effort and more confidence,” said Suresh Vittal, chief product officer at UKG. “Tens of thousands of organizations worldwide already use UKG to forecast, predict and plan their frontline staffing needs. Rapid Hire now brings those plans to life.”

Built on high-volume hiring startup acquisition

Rapid Hire is built on UKG’s acquisition of Chattr, a high-volume hiring startup. The platform achieves candidate conversion rates seven times the industry average, according to Jim Schimpf, Chattr CEO and co-founder.

“Chattr was founded with the bold mission of making frontline hiring as fast and frictionless as ordering a rideshare or meal,” said Schimpf. “Joining UKG gives tens of thousands of organizations access to our transformative solution, while accelerating the delivery of our planned innovations.”

The platform includes predictive insights during onboarding designed to improve employee retention, though the company did not provide specific retention improvement data.

Real-time labour management addresses staffing fluctuations

Dynamic Labor Management works alongside Rapid Hire to help organizations identify staffing gaps and respond to changes in customer demand. The system analyzes demand data, schedules and forecasts to provide recommendations for staff rebalancing.

The platform factors in compliance requirements, employee skills and certifications, and union rules when making staffing recommendations. At the end of each shift, it delivers insights on cost savings, service improvements and scheduling best practices.

“Organizations can now conduct long-term forecasting and scenario planning with UKG Strategic Workforce Planning, hire frontline employees at scale with Rapid Hire, schedule employees and capture their time with UKG Pro WFM, recognize and react to fluctuations in customer demand in real-time with Dynamic Labor Management, and pay people in 150-plus countries with UKG One View — all on one Workforce Operating Platform,” said Vittal.

UKG serves more than 80,000 organizations across 150 countries. The company positions itself as a provider of AI-powered platforms for HR, payroll and workforce management.
