Jazz Aviation LP has earned recognition as one of Nova Scotia’s Top Employers for 2025, marking the company’s fourteenth straight year on the prestigious list.

The Halifax-based airline, which employs more than 850 people in the province, received the designation from Mediacorp Canada Inc. as part of its annual competition highlighting exceptional workplaces.

“We are proud to be a North American airline operator based in Nova Scotia and to support our over 850 employees here,” said Doug Clarke, president of Jazz. “This recognition reflects our commitment to creating a workplace where our team can thrive. Being part of this community is a privilege we deeply value.”

Comprehensive evaluation process

The Top Employers designation evaluates companies across multiple criteria, including workplace quality, work atmosphere, health and financial benefits, vacation policies, employee communications, performance management, professional development opportunities, and community involvement.

Jazz’s continued presence on the list demonstrates the airline’s sustained commitment to workplace excellence in Nova Scotia.

Building on national recognition

The provincial honor adds to Jazz’s growing collection of workplace accolades. The airline was recently named one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers and one of Atlantic Canada’s Top Employers.

Jazz also received an Award of Excellence in the Public Transportation category at Canada’s Safest Employers and has previously been recognized with an Indigenous Reconciliation award from the Government of Canada.

As the largest regional airline in Canada, Jazz serves as the primary operator of Air Canada Express flights to 72 destinations across North America. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chorus Aviation Inc.
