KBRS has announced the appointment of Ryna Young as its new Regional Head of Executive Search and Co-Lead for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), stationed in Toronto, Ontario. With more than 20 years of experience in executive search, Young offers extensive expertise in leadership solutions integration, bolstering KBRS’s services in these critical areas.

Andrea Forbes Hurley, Managing Partner of Executive Search at KBRS, commented on the growing demand for expert talent advisors across Canada. “We’ve successfully placed hundreds of leaders in various sectors nationwide over the past five years,” she stated. “Ryna will be pivotal in further developing our comprehensive talent strategy and executive search initiatives, not only in Ontario but also nationally.”

Young joins KBRS’s robust team of over 70 professionals who provide a range of talent solutions including professional recruitment, assessment, coaching, and DEI strategy. Her role will involve close collaboration with DEI Co-Lead, Amorell Saunders N’Daw, to enhance client strategies on diversity and inclusion through equitable practices and informed counsel. Her international experience across four continents enriches her global approach to leadership.

Kevin Stoddart, another Managing Partner at KBRS, emphasized the firm’s commitment to quality and relationship-building. “Our success over nearly five decades stems from our high standards and dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion,” he said. “We are confident that Ryna’s addition will only enhance our ability to serve our clients effectively.”

Young expressed enthusiasm about her new role and its possibilities. “I am excited to bring our integrated leadership solutions to new clients across Ontario and beyond,” she remarked. “Joining an organization that is majority female-owned and committed to gender parity in leadership is especially meaningful.”

Young holds a psychology degree from the University of Windsor and is a certified coach through the NeuroLeadership Institute. She also serves on the AESC North American Diversity Leadership Council.

KBRS was established in 1975 and has evolved from its roots in executive search and HR consulting to a leader in national recruitment and people strategy, recognized by the Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants. Its expansion includes Meridia Recruitment Solutions, catering to mid-level professional and technical recruitment needs. The company maintains a comprehensive suite of services ranging from recruitment to HR advisory, covering the full spectrum of talent management.
