A Chicago-based managed services firm has appointed a seasoned HR leader to oversee its people operations as the company works to grow its workforce and strengthen its internal culture.
Kathleen Pearson has joined Opensity Solutions as Chief Human Resources Officer, the company announced March 2. She will lead talent acquisition, leadership development, performance management, employee engagement and organizational effectiveness.
New role tied to growth
Opensity Solutions says the appointment comes as the company works to expand its operations and build the internal HR infrastructure needed to support clients in legal, financial and professional services.
Chief Executive Officer Michelle Deichmeister said in a statement that Pearson brings “deep expertise and proven leadership in the areas that matter most as firms navigate heightened risk, rapid technology change and evolving workforce expectations.”
Deichmeister added that Pearson’s addition “reinforces our ability to operate with the highest standards of integrity, rigor and performance — while continuing to innovate and deliver measurable outcomes for clients.”
Background and experience
Pearson has held senior HR roles across major law firms. Most recently, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer at both Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman and McDermott Will & Schulte.
In her new role, she will work to grow Opensity’s culture and support the teams that deliver services to clients on a day-to-day basis. The company says strengthening its people function is key to delivering consistent, high-quality service as client needs change.
