Saskatchewan Blue Cross has been named one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers for the 10th consecutive year, a milestone that coincides with the organization’s 80th anniversary in 2026.
The Saskatoon-based not-for-profit health benefits provider serves more than 200,000 members across the province. The award recognizes employers that demonstrate innovation, strong values and employee support.
“Being named a Top Employer for the 10th consecutive year is a remarkable achievement for our organization and team members,” said Kelly Wilson, president and CEO at Saskatchewan Blue Cross. “Our people are the heartbeat of our organization.”
Employee benefits and wellness programs
The organization offers a $250 wellness spending account and a $1,000 mental health practitioner benefit. Both programs were developed based on employee feedback.
Staff contributed more than 750 volunteer hours in 2025 through community initiatives. Employees at the Saskatoon office maintain a rooftop garden that supports the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre. The garden produced hundreds of cherry tomatoes, peppers, carrots, cucumbers, beets and herbs last season for the Centre’s cooking programs.
80th anniversary initiatives
Saskatchewan Blue Cross is launching two programs to mark its anniversary. The 80 years, 80 grants program will award 80 grants of $1,000 each to eligible community organizations. An internal 80 Acts of Kindness campaign encourages employees to share acts of kindness to inspire participation across the organization.
