Unite Digital has adopted the UKG Ready suite to automate its HR and payroll functions, easing administrative pressure and giving HR staff more time to focus on employee engagement and recruitment, the company said.

The Michigan-based digital marketing firm, which serves automotive dealers and manufacturers, has grown to nearly 100 employees since its founding in 2016. As the business expanded across multiple U.S. states, its leadership said they needed a system that could scale quickly while ensuring payroll accuracy and regulatory compliance.

“The level of support we’ve experienced with UKG is the exception in the marketplace and has been nothing short of amazing,” said Sara Riley, director of human resources at Unite Digital. “UKG views our relationship as a true partnership, giving us the confidence that we made the right decision and would be successful in hitting the ground running.”

Riley said Unite began using UKG Ready in 2024 after hiring dozens of new employees and needing a platform that integrated HR, payroll, talent, and time management. She said the implementation process included a full audit of payroll and tax processes, with UKG experts providing detailed support.

The automation has freed Unite’s HR staff to focus more on people than paperwork. AI tools within the suite assist with recruiting and onboarding, while the HR team now spends more time directly supporting employees and enhancing workplace culture.

“Our CFO has noticed a huge difference with UKG, and my job is much more productive and rewarding now,” said Riley.

Bob DelPonte, executive vice-president and chief customer experience officer at UKG, said the software is built to give growing companies like Unite a strong operational foundation. “Getting it right from day one means organizations have a robust infrastructure to start streamlining operations, improving compliance, and delivering a better employee experience immediately,” he said.
